👀 PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Coastal FC is excited to offer an adaptive soccer program for children with disabilities. Coastal FC’s Champions Program is offered to boys and girls who are 7 to 18 years of age and is suitable for all participants with special needs. This program will be led by professional Coastal FC coaches and Big Buddy Volunteer Coaches who will provide a supportive and passionate environment for participants to have fun and develop their soccer skills.
Champions Program will have a primary focus on individual participation where each participant along with their “Home Support” are able to participate in different stations. Some of our exciting stations will include dribbling and relays, passing competition with targets, a shooting station to score as many goals as you can! Individuals can choose to stay at one activity for the duration of the session or move from one station to the next. Our main goal is to ensure that all members in the community have an opportunity to participate in their favourite sport!
📝 PROGRAM DETAILS:

Participants aged 7-18 years old (Born from 2017 - 2007)

One indoor training session each week led by Professional Coaches and Big Buddies.

Parent participation may/may not be required; however, parents must remain present at all times.

Minimal equipment is required (We will have all equipment); appropriate running shoes or soccer cleats only; shin guards are recommended but not required.

Fall/Winter: dress in layers, jacket, hat, gloves, training pants or shorts

Please note that all program dates/locations & schedules are subject to change.
*Coastal FC recognizes and acknowledges the importance of Truth and Reconciliation Day, along with Remembrance Day. We will have scheduled weekday training sessions from September 28th to 30th, as well as from November 8th to 11th.

Volunteers - What do you need to volunteer?

You must be 15 years of age or older in the year 2025
-
Available to attend all sessions (each session is approx 1 hour in length) If you cannot attend a session, we must be notified well in advance so that we have ample time to find a replacement for that day. These children require stability therefore if prior to the start of the program, you know that you will miss 4 or more sessions maybe this isn't the volunteer opportunity for you.
