PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Coastal FC is excited to offer an adapted soccer program for children with disabilities. Coastal FC’s Champions Program is offered to boys and girls who are 7 to 18 years of age and is suitable for all participants with special needs. This program will be led by professional coaches/staff and Volunteer Junior Coaches who will provide a supportive and passionate environment for participants to have fun and develop their soccer skills. Due to the restrictions regarding COVID-19, parent/family/behaviour interventionist participation is mandatory to ensure social distancing is adhered to by all registrants.

Champions Program will have a primary focus on individual participation where each participant along with their “Home Support” are able to participate in different stations. Stations will be set up to best promote physical distancing, limit sharing of equipment and ensure the safety of all participants. Some of our exciting stations will include dribbling and relays, passing competition with targets, a shooting station to score as many goals as you can! Individuals can choose to stay at one activity for the duration of the session or move from one station to the next while maintaining physical distancing. Our main goal is to ensure that all members in the community have an opportunity to participate in their favourite sport!
