COASTAL FOOTBALL CLUB

Coastal Football Club is a non-profit organization that was established on October 15, 2012, through the amalgamation of three soccer clubs: Peace Arch Soccer Club, Semiahmoo Soccer Club, and South Fraser Soccer Club. Our primary mission is to promote and develop soccer in our community, offering a wide range of programs and teams for individuals of all ages and skill levels, from recreational to high-performance soccer.

GUIDING PRINCIPLES & VALUES

Coastal FC is guided by the principles of PLAYER - TEAM - CLUB and COMMUNITY

Our values are INTEGRITY - PASSION and EXCELLENCE!

INTEGRITY

We do the right thing. We care about everyone in the club, and we always show respect. We build and show trust and we take responsibility.

PASSION

We love this game and we love our club. We are part of something bigger and we carry our passion with a sense of pride and purpose at all levels of the club.

EXCELLENCE

We continuously improve everything we do in the club. Our coaches, our staff, our individual players and our teams strive to be better, whether that’s winning at the highest levels or having fun in the U5’s!

Our Club Foundation

Peach Arch Soccer Club (PASC) was founded in 1965 to provide organized soccer programming for boys aged 5 – 18 years old, and in 2008 added adult men segment. Semiahmoo Soccer Club (SSC) was founded in 1988 to provide organized programming for girls aged 5 – 18 years old, and in 2004 added an adult women segment. South Fraser Football Club (SFFC) was formed in 2011 as a joint venture of PASC and SSC to apply for a BC Soccer Premier League (“BCSPL”) franchise, which SFSC was awarded in 2011. SFFC operated as South Fraser FC as one of eight BCSPL franchises, which began play in November 2011. South Fraser FC provided elite-level soccer programming for boys and girls aged 12 – 18 years old in BC.

Our Commitment to Our Community

Coastal FC’s history also includes financial participation with the City of Surrey in field improvements at South Surrey Athletic Park (SSAP), HT Thrift, Jessie Lee and South Meridian, and the new construction and renovation of soccer-related facilities. For example, Coastal FC was involved in financing the warm-up area at the east end of the SSAP #9 turf field, which the Club paid for at a cost of $300,000. The Club is also a member of the South Surrey Field House Society. This group organized the 1992 construction of the Rotary Field House located at SSAP, and to which the Club contributed $110,000.

In the Spring of 2019 the BMO Coastal Soccer Centre, a $5 million state-of-the-art indoor sports facility opened in South Surrey Athletic Park. The facility was a collaboration between Coastal FC, the City of Surrey, the Province of BC & BMO, our naming sponsor.
