Coastal FC is pleased to announce that Ed Picher has been appointed as our new Interim President. We sincerely thank Brandt Watkins for his years of leadership and dedication to Coastal FC and the soccer community. Serving as President from 2021 to 2025, Brandt played a key role in shaping the club's direction. His contributions have left a strong legacy that will continue to shape the club moving forward.

Ed Picher has been part of Coastal FC for nearly 10 years, beginning his journey as a coach in the Girls House Program. Over the years, he has taken on key coaching roles and currently leads our U13 Intake and U15 Girls Division 1 and 2 teams. His U15 team recently celebrated major success, winning the 2024 Coastal Cup B, earning back-to-back Cascadia League titles, and reaching the Provincial Finals.

Originally from North Delta, Ed grew up playing soccer and now lives in White Rock with his family. He works in the heavy equipment industry and is a proud father of two. Ed is a certified coach, completing several courses through Coastal FC, including Soccer for Life and The Coastal Concept.

Ed is passionate about team building, fair and equal play, and helping young players fall in love with the game. He believes soccer should be fun, confidence-building, and rooted in strong relationships. He fully supports Coastal FC’s values of Passion, Excellence, and Integrity, and is deeply committed to the programs and people that make the club special.

Since joining the Coastal FC Board of Directors in 2022, Ed has served on several committees, including Governance and the Executive Committee, where he contributed as Recording Officer. Now, as Interim President, he brings a well-rounded perspective shaped by his experiences as a coach, parent, and leader. Ed is honoured to take on this role and looks forward to guiding Coastal FC through its next chapter.
