Coastal FC is excited to announce updates to our U8-U13 Recreational programs and U8-U13 Skill Centre as we continue to grow and provide the best possible soccer experience for our members.
Andrea Perrotta will now serve as the technical lead for U8-U13 Recreational teams, ensuring our players and coaches receive a positive and engaging experience. Andrea was part of the U8-U13 Skill Centre from 2024 to 2025, focusing on the girls’ teams, and brings extensive experience, including leading Coastal FC’s 2010G BCSPL team to the 2023 BC Soccer Provincial Premier Championship. She holds the CSA National B License and also plays on the Coastal FC Women’s Premier Team.
Mark Baldisimo will transition into a dedicated role within the U8-U13 Skill Centre program, while new hire Jessica Hamilton will join the U8-U13 Skill Centre and also take on event management duties within the club. Jessica brings a strong background in both soccer and event coordination, having played Division 1 soccer at Mississippi Valley State University and Eastern Kentucky University, coached at Power Soccer School of Excellence and Ajax FC, and served as a two-time Board Nominee with Ontario Soccer. She also holds multiple coaching certifications, including Soccer for Life and Learn to Train, and continues to play in women’s leagues. Beyond soccer, Jessica has extensive professional experience in event management, stakeholder engagement, and community development through roles with organizations such as Credit Valley Conservation, Equal Voice, and the Green Party of Canada.
Ivan Mejia will be supporting the Coastal FC Academy programs and the U8-U13 Skill Centre, bringing a wealth of playing and coaching experience. Ivan is a former Vancouver FC player (CPL) and will now represent Coastal FC in the Adult Program, in addition to his coaching experience with Deportivo Cali Academy, Colombia U17 National Team, Whitecaps FC Residency, and coaching at Burnaby United and Ares FC.
We would also like to thank Adrian Cairns for his dedication and service to the U8-U13 Skill Centre. Adrian has moved to Calgary to pursue new professional opportunities, and we wish him all the best in this next chapter.
These staffing updates allow Coastal FC to focus on enhancing our U8-U13 Recreational players’ experience, while also continuing to grow the U8-U13 Skill Centre into a leading development program in BC. We are committed to providing a high-quality environment and a fun experience for all players and coaches to improve and enjoy the game.
