Coastal FC is excited to continue to participate in the TELUS She CAN Coach program by Canada Soccer, which aims to increase the participation of women in grassroots soccer coaching. The program now includes clubs from across several provinces, including multiple from British Columbia, showing strong growth from previous years. Last year, several female volunteer coaches from Coastal FC took part in the program, gaining valuable experience and training.

TELUS She CAN Coach is a national program that recruits, trains, and supports women coaches. It is designed especially for new or entry-level coaches who want to start or continue their Canada Soccer Grassroots Coach Education. By providing training, resources, and support, the program helps more women and girls take part in soccer and promotes gender equality in the sport.

"We’re thrilled to continue into our second year of TELUS She CAN Coach. This program has become an important pathway for women at Coastal FC who want to begin or expand their coaching journey. With Andrea Perrotta guiding the program at our club, we’re committed to supporting, developing and celebrating female leaders in the game." said Nour Fathy, Director of Soccer Operations.

Coastal FC joins various other clubs from British Columbia in this program. Being selected highlights the club’s dedication to supporting players and coaches while promoting female leadership in soccer. Through TELUS She CAN Coach, Coastal FC will help remove barriers for women and girls, encourage participation, and create pathways for those interested in coaching at the grassroots level.
