SPRING U8-U13 SKILL CENTRE
PREP ACADEMY

👀 ABOUT THE PROGRAM: The Skill Centre Prep Academy is designed for aspiring players who are eager to advance into the Skill Centre program. This program provides a unique opportunity for like-minded players to train together under the guidance of Coastal FC’s Certified/Licensed Professional Academy Coaches. By participating in the Skill Centre Prep Academy, players will learn and develop tactical and technical skills to prepare them for the next steps in advancing to our Skill Centre program.

📝 PROGRAM DETAILS:​

  • Boys & Girls aged 7-13 (Born from 2018-2013)

  • 1 x 1-hour session per week

  • Led by Certified/Licenced Professional Academy Coaches 

  • The approximate ratio of 14-16 players to 1 staff 

​

🤩 PROGRAM GOALS:​

  • The program offers an opportunity for players to enhance their technical and tactical abilities alongside like-minded players, with the goal of potential advancement to the Coastal FC Skill Centre program. 

​

👟PROGRAM EQUIPMENT:​

  • All players must have shin guards and proper footwear; cleats and turf shoes are acceptable

  • In colder months, dress in layers: jacket, hat, gloves, and training pants or shorts. Watch our Essential Gear Video for tips to stay comfortable at every session. ​

  • Victoria Day Long Weekend (May 16-18) 🇨🇦​

​🗓️ SPRING TRAINING SCHEDULE​

  • Fridays 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm ​

  • Location: South Surrey Athletic Park

    • Field locations will be announced at the first training session and will remain the same for the entire season.

Please note that all program dates/locations & schedules are subject to change.

​🌧️ Schedule Changes / Weather Cancellations: ​

  • Coastal FC will notify registered participants via email of any schedule changes or cancellations due to weather, power outages, or other reasons.

  • Registered participants are encouraged to frequently check their emails, the game schedule website, and Coastal FC social media pages to stay updated on important announcements, changes, or cancellations.

💳 REGISTRATION FEES

  • Spring Registration Fee: $185

    • Registration opens January 15, 2026

  • Returning players from the Fall 2025 season should log into their existing Demosphere account to register. Click here.

  • New players will need to create a Demosphere account. Click here for instructions.

​⚽️ ACADEMY STRUCTURE AND PLAYER MOVEMENT:​ Groups will be structured by ability and/or age. Based on staff assessment and recommendations, players will have the opportunity to move within the academy system.

  • Please read our Refund & Collection Policy before you register.

  • All refund requests must be sent through the Refund Request Form. Refund requests sent by email will not be accepted and will be redirected to the form.​
