U5-U8 INDOOR RECREATIONAL/HOUSE SOCCER PROGRAM

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Our U5-U8 recreational/house soccer program, is a beginner to intermediate program led by volunteer coaches, focussed on providing players with an excellent first experience/environment in soccer through the provision of the professional Coastal FC coaching staff within a warm and consistent indoor climate at our new state of the art Indoor Training Facility, the BMO Coastal Soccer Centre.  

PROGRAM TRAINING SCHEDULE  

** Training starts the week of September 2nd, and ends the week of March 2, 2020, with breaks at traditional holiday periods. (Dates may be subject to change)

 

 

Please note, that the schedule above is subject to change, based on the availability of our volunteer coaches.  At the time of registration, you will be asked for your preferred training days, and the days your child is unavailable.

While all requests made at the time of registration for training days, times, friends, teams and coaches will be considered requests are not guaranteed.   We will do our best to accommodate all requests, on a best efforts basis. However, please note that we will prioritize requests registration received prior to June 30th. After June 30th, spots will be allocated based on an as available basis. We strongly encourage all players to register early to avoid disappointment!

PROGRAM DETAILS

  • One weekday indoor training session each week led by Volunteer Coaches

  • One game per week on the weekend (Boys play Saturdays, girls play Sundays)

  • Coastal FC Staff oversight and support

COASTAL FC STAFF SUPPORT

All sessions will be organized and managed by the club Technical Staff.  Volunteer coaches will receive weekly session plans and assistance on field for all training sessions throughout the course of the season. Specialized curriculum will be implemented by Staff and Volunteer Coaches. Curriculum has been developed for this program, with the goal to make all sessions fun and interactive for all players and have been designed with a focus on Technical Development and Fundamental Movement Skills, through exciting game related activities. Respective age groups follow recommendations from Active Start &; Fundamental stages of LTPD (Long Term Player Development).  Additionally, club staff will be on field to oversee and assist during all scheduled game slots in the BMO Coastal Soccer Centre.

PROGRAM FEES

 

REFUNDABLE VOLUNTEER BOND

 

Coastal FC relies heavily on the support of our volunteers, and provides many opportunities for families to get involved with Coaching, Assistant Coaching, Team Management, or assisting with our frequent events and various other tasks throughout the season. A refundable $100 bond is charged at the beginning of each season.  For those that volunteered the season prior, you will be provided with a code to enter at the time of registration so that you will not be charged this bond.  If you have not received your volunteer code, please contact Carina Steer at csteer@coastalfc.ca. 

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY

  • An administration fee charge of $25.00 will be applied to all cancellations prior to the start of the program up until July 31. There are no refunds after August 1st.

BMO COASTAL SOCCER CENTRE

The BMO Coastal Soccer Centre recently opened for play in the spring of 2019. This brand new, indoor facility is one of the only facilities of its kind in the lower mainland, owned and operated by a club (Coastal FC). This $5 million state of the art indoor soccer facility provides the best possible environment for footballing excellence within the province. With weather elements being identified as a major barrier to player development in Canada, the BMO Indoor Soccer Centre is the largest purpose built facility of its kind in the Lower Mainland and sets a new standard for player development facilities within the country. The inspirational environment, which is free from the harsh elements of the Canadian weather, allows Coastal to focus on a player development strategy that aims to produce the next generation of high performance, professional, and national team players. The combination of FIFA approved 3G turf, indoor training, professional coaching, and an innovative

curriculum creates a developmental experience like no other.
