U13 - U18 RECREATIONAL

AGES:  12-17 years old (Born in 2010-2005)  

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION                                                         TECHNICAL LEAD: Steve Duffy, sduffy@coastalfc.ca

Our U13-U18 recreational/house soccer program, is a beginner to intermediate program led by volunteer coaches focussed on providing an excellent experience/environment by ensuring that safety, organization, structure and fun/enjoyment exists for both players and coaches. The environment created will provide an opportunity for players to develop technical ability, comprehension of team play and formations, and individual Speed, Agility and Quickness (SAQ). The end goal will be the identification, advancement and continued development of future Rep and Non-Rep coaches and players.  

PROGRAM TRAINING SCHEDULE  

** Training starts the week of September 6th, and ends March 4/5th weekend, with breaks at traditional holiday periods. (Dates may be subject to change)

  • Thanksgiving (Oct 8-10)

  • Remembrance Day (Nov 11)

  • Christmas Break (Dec 5 – Jan 2)

  • Family Day (Feb 18-20)

*Game play will begin the weekend of September 10th and 11th, 2022.

Please note, that the schedule may be subject to change based on the availability of our volunteer coaches.  

PLAYER REGISTRATION REQUESTS: While all requests made at the time of registration will be considered; please note that requests are NOT guaranteed. We will do our best to accommodate requests on best effort basis. Registration requests made prior to June 30th, 2022 will have priority. We strongly encourage early registration to avoid disappointment.

 

 

 

PROGRAM DETAILS

  • One weekday outdoor training session each week led by Volunteer Coaches

  • One game per week on the weekend (Boys play Saturdays, girls play Sundays)

  • Coastal FC Staff oversight and support

COASTAL FC STAFF SUPPORT

All sessions will be organized and managed by the club Technical Staff.  Volunteer coaches will receive weekly session plans and assistance on field for all training sessions throughout the course of the season. Specialized curriculum will be implemented by Staff and Volunteer Coaches. Curriculum has been developed for this program, with the goal to make all sessions fun and interactive for all players and have been designed with a focus on Technical Development and Fundamental Movement Skills, through age appropriate activities. Respective age groups follow recommendations from stages of Soccer For Life from the BC Soccer LTPD (Long Term Player Development).  Additionally, Club Staff will be on field when available, to oversee games at South Surrey Athletic Park. 

PROGRAM FEES: 

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY

  • An administration fee charge of $50.00 will be applied to all cancellations prior to the start of the program up until July 31. There are no refunds after August 1st.

PLAYER ID CARDS (U11-U18)

Under BC Soccer Rule 5, all players and volunteer staff for  U11-U18 are required to have an ID card. ID cards are given to the Coach/Manager for the season and returned to the District Rep at the end of the playing season. Photos can now be up uploaded at the time of registration . The photo must be a clear head shot from the shoulders up, facing forward and in colour (no black and white photos). No sunglasses or hats . Passport style is recommended. Please see the sample photo below , all Id cards photos should be as shown.

  1. Go into your household-Account in Demosphere.

  2. Click on the name of the player who needs a photo.

  3. Click on edit person info button (upper right corner).

  4. Click on change/add/delete photo button under picture box. Upload photo (head shot only).
