SAFE SOCCER

We know that returning to the normal soccer, that we are all used to and love to play will take some time, we have been working with the health and sport authorities on what may be possible in the weeks to come.

Of course safety is and always will be the top priority guiding any return to play decisions; however, we want to be ready to provide a safe physical outlet for our members, when it is possible to do so. We also believe, based on the survey we released,that many families feel the same way as 78% of respondents were looking forward to playing soccer at some point during the Spring/Summer.

At this time, our best guess is that there will be a phased approach (driven by the health authority) to getting back on the soccer field. We believe Phase 1 will include:

• No game play 

• Maintain physical distancing 

• Smaller group sizes 

• Limited sharing of equipment

While the final restrictions are not yet known, we have established a framework on what we believe will fall within the guidelines. There is also flexibility to adjust if the guidelines are more stringent. To best represent our “SAFE SOCCER” plan we have created a videoto showcase the spacing, human interactions, and type of soccer session you can expect.

As you will see there is still an excellent opportunity to be physically active, train technically, and play some fun yet competitive games. It is just different from what we are used to, but still very purposeful.
