The criteria outlined within BC Soccer's Club Charter Program is based on three top line categories: Technical; Governance; and Administrative.
“We are really excited to announce that Coastal FC has achieved BC Soccer’s Club Charter Standard 1 and I want to thank all of their staff and volunteers who have worked incredibly hard to meet the criteria,” said Kjeld Brodsgaard BC Soccer President. “BC Soccer recognizes that both large and small clubs face various challenges in achieving the Standards in the BC Soccer Club Charter Program, so this is a true testament to all the work they have put in. We look forward to continuing to work with Coastal FC as they work toward creating the best possible learning environment for players, coaches, and parents, both on and off the field.” Established in 2012, Coastal Football Club is the result of the amalgamation of Peace Arch Soccer Club, Semiahmoo Soccer Club, and South Fraser Soccer Club. With programs ranging from U2 – Adult Programming as well as being a part of the EA Sports BC Soccer Premier League teams, Coastal FC is one of the largest cradle to grave clubs within British Columbia. Coastal FC operates out of the South Surrey Athletic Park which has 10 soccer pitches (8 grass and 2 turf) and a warm up-field to help host all of Coastal FC’s players.
“Coastal FC is pleased to be recognized for meeting Club Charter Standard One,” said Chris Murphy, Coastal FC Executive Director. “ As one of the largest cradle to grave clubs, featuring all levels of play in BC, we are committed to excellence in governance, administrative, and technical standards. We look forward to continuing to work with BC Soccer in our ongoing effort to provide the best possible soccer environment for our membership.”
