The Strikers/Finishing Program focuses on one of the most exciting but difficult aspects of the game – goal scoring!


The program will provide players with various movement and scoring techniques to enhance the confidence and creativity required to develop prolific goal scorers. This is the ultimate program for players committed to developing their ability, knowledge and understanding, of how, where, and when to move and shoot inside and outside the box.

Program will include:

  • Close-range, mid-range, and long range shooting

  • Bending, Chipping, Driving, Volleying, Redirecting

  • 1v1 breakaways 

  • Creative finishing

  • Heading – Downward, diving, and glancing

  • Set plays - Free kicks and penalties

PROGRAM DETAILS: Players aged U10-U16 (2008 - 2014)

  • 1 x 1.5 hours session per week

  • Professional staff led

  • Approximate ratio 14 players to 1 staff 

  • Position Specific Training

  • Scoring testing to measure development

  • State of the art indoor facility provides element free environment

LOCATION: BMO Coastal Soccer Centre

PROGRAM DURATION:  The Fall program will run September 18, 2023 through to Feb 20, 2024 with breaks during traditional holiday breaks, which includes:

  • ​Thanksgiving (Oct 7-9)

  • Family Day (Feb 17 - 19)

* Please note that academies with holiday breaks that are observed on Mondays; the program ending will be extended to March 4th to account for any missed sessions. 




GOALS/OBJECTIVES: The program will provide an opportunity for players to develop technical and tactical abilities in order to prepare for progression to the Coastal BCSPL, Provincial, and Whitecaps FC professional youth programs. 

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY: There are no refunds once the program has started. Cancellations made prior to the start of the season will have a $50.00 administration fee applied.​

This brand new, indoor facility is one of the only facilities of its kind in the lower mainland, owned and operated by Coastal FC. This $5 million state of the art indoor soccer facility provides the best possible environment for footballing excellence within the province. With weather elements being identified as a major barrier to player development in Canada, the BMO Coastal Soccer Centre is the largest purpose-built facility of its kind in the Lower Mainland and sets a new standard for player development facilities within the country. The inspirational environment, which is free from the harsh elements of the Canadian weather, allows Coastal FC to focus on a player development strategy that aims to produce the next generation of high performance, professional, and national team players. The combination of FIFA approved 3G turf, indoor training, professional coaching, and an innovative curriculum creates a developmental experience like no other.
