Coastal FC’s $5 million state of the art indoor soccer facility provides the best possible environment for footballing excellence within the province. With weather elements being identified as a major barrier to player development in Canada, the BMO Indoor Soccer Centre is the largest purpose built facility of its kind in the lower mainland and sets a new standard for player development facilities within the country. The inspirational environment, which is free from the harsh elements of the Canadian weather, allows Coastal to focus on a player development strategy that aims to produce the next generation of high performance, professional, and national team players. The combination of FIFA approved 3G turf, indoor training, professional coaching, and an innovative curriculum creates a developmental experience like no other.

The Position Specific Training Program focuses on the specific technical and tactical requirements for each area of the field.

The program will provide players with various positional and technical skills to enhance their confidence. Defenders will focus on positional awareness and understanding amongst other skills, while developing their individual fundamental defending techniques. Midfielders will enhance their ability to receive, dribble  and pass the ball while developing their spacial awareness and understanding. 

Position specific training includes:​

  • Central Midfielders

  • Wingers/Wide midfielders

  • Centre Backs 

  • Full Backs 


Program Details – Players aged U10-U15 


  • 1 x 1.5 hours session per week

  • Professional staff led

  • 12 players to 1 staff ratio

  • Position Specific Training

  • Technical testing to measure development

  • State of the art indoor facility provides element free environment


Location – BMO Soccer Centre, South Surrey Athletic Park


Duration – 10-week program will run Wednesday April 17th/Thursday 18th  to Wednesday June 26th/Thursday 27th  with breaks at traditional holiday periods.


Goals/Objectives –The program will provide an opportunity for players to develop technical and tactical abilities in order to prepare for progression to the Coastal BCSPL, Provincial, and Whitecaps FC professional youth programs. 


Success Stories – Coastal FC’s High Performance Academies have a proven track record of developing and advancing players into the highest levels of the game throughout the country. Approximately 32 players coming through the Coastal FC BCSPL High Performance Academies will progress to the BCSPL, while several have recently advanced to Whitecaps Residency/REX programs such as:


Boys: Josh Bauman, Brandon Bassi, Anthony Vega, Sidrit Vukaj


Girls: Kloe Jackman, Alison Hay and Joanna Verzosa-Dolezal
