SPRING ACADEMY
Coastal Football Club Academy empowers players to achieve their highest potential. We are dedicated to fostering excellence in soccer through professional coaching, innovative training methodologies, and a supportive, inclusive environment.
As per BC Soccer regulations, our programs are organized by birth year. Below are the Spring 2024 Age Groups by Birth Years.
INDOOR PLAYER ACADEMY U5-U7
The Coastal FC Indoor Player Academy is for U5 - U7 players with a major emphasis on developing physical literacy skills which include the ABC’s (Agility, Balance, Coordination) as well as developing basic technical abilities. This is an additional training session led by our Coastal FC Professional Academy Staff, which takes place in the BMO Coastal Soccer Centre.
OUTDOOR PLAYER ACADEMY U8-U13
The Coastal FC Outdoor Player Academy is for U8 - U13 with a major emphasis on developing players skills with a primary focus on technical abilities and the skill components of the game. This is an additional training session led by our Coastal FC Professional Academy Staff, which takes place at South Surrey Athletic Park.
ACADEMY: STRIKERS / SHOOTING
The Strikers/Shooting Program focuses on one of the most exciting but difficult aspects of the game – goal scoring!
The program will provide players with various movement and scoring techniques to enhance the confidence and creativity required to develop prolific goal scorers. This is the ultimate program for players committed to developing their ability, knowledge and understanding, of how, where, and when to move and shoot inside and outside the box.
ACADEMY: BALL MASTERY
The Ball Mastery Program focuses on developing one of the most crucial attributes of the game – technique. The program will provide players with various skills and techniques required to develop creative players who are confident, composed, and effective in all interactions with the ball. This is the ultimate program for players who are committed to developing their ability, knowledge and understanding of how, where, and when to control, dribble and pass the ball in order to improve their technique.
ACADEMY:MIDFIELDERS/DEFENDERS
The Midfielders/Defenders Position Specific Training Program focuses on the specific technical and tactical requirements for each area of the field. The program will provide players with various positional and technical skills to enhance the confidence and creativity required to develop their understandings of specific positions further.
The High-Performance Academy (HPA) is an additional component to the Prospects/Development Program. The program will include specialized group training, technical training, and may include games and/or tournaments against other High Performance Academy clubs to allow players to play in a competitive environment.
This program is an invite only program for selected players. Players progress is monitored from phase to phase. Players will be invited prior to each phase of the program.
HIGH-PERFORMANCE ACADEMY U8-U12
The High-Performance Academy (HPA) is an additional component to the Prospects/Development Program. The program will include specialized group training, technical training, and may include games and/or tournaments against other High Performance Academy clubs to allow players to play in a competitive environment.
This program is an invite only program for selected players. Players progress is monitored from phase to phase. Players will be invited prior to each phase of the program.
