Spring Programs
Update: Coastal FC's Spring Program is currently full and all age groups have been closed.
Coastal FC offers one of the largest and most comprehensive spring soccer programs, for players of all ages and abilities, in British Columbia.
Highlights include:
- Season runs from the weekend of April 6 - June 23, 2013
- 10 week program and games begin April 13 and 14
- Players have May 18 and 19 off for the long weekend
- Play for all ages and levels from U5 to adult soccer

U5 to U18 Recreational
Description:
The recreational spring program is ideal for players of any age and skill level that are looking for a casual and fun soccer environment. Players of all levels will be placed on balanced teams. Many players are involved in other spring sports and the recreational program offers the opportunity to play soccer without the pressure of a full commitment.

- 1X training per week in South Surrey
- 1X game per week in South Surrey
- Registration is $105 (existing players) or $130 (for new players)
U8 to U12 Development
Description:
This would include prospects and select teams from the fall 2012 season and replaces the former club travel academy. This program is ideal for the more advanced and committed soccer player who makes spring soccer their priority.
Teams are formed in two ways:
- U8-10 (boys) and U8-U9 (girls) teams will be formed from fall 2012 team rosters and evaluations for the 2013 team selection. Information on the fall 2013 selection process can be found HERE. Players who are selected will be invited to play spring soccer (which is optional).
- U11-12 (boys) and U10-U12 (girls) teams will be formed by interested coaches inviting players to join a spring development team. Coaches who would like to enter a spring development team at these ages must be approved by the club technical directors in advance. Once confirmed, coaches should invite players to participate and the link to register will be provided.
It's important to note that individual players cannot sign up for a development team. They must be invited by a coach or as part of the team selection process (Prospects)

U13 to U18 Development
Description:
This program replaces to former club travel academy.
Teams will be formed by interested coaches inviting players to join a spring development team. Coaches who would like to enter a spring development team at these ages must be approved by the club technical directors in advance. Once confirmed, coaches should invite players to participate and the link to register will be provided. This would be ideal for MSL, Gold, and Silver players.
Coastal FC does not operate an in house development league for U13 transition (2001) to U18; however, we have partnered with Langley United FC and Surrey FC. Interested Coastal FC teams will register as a development player and we will enter teams into the LUFC or SFC leagues.

- 2X training per week in South Surrey
- 1X league game in Langley or Newton
- 1X tournament entry to Umbro Challenge Cup (not offered to U17/18 teams)
- 1X league entry fee

Recreational Schedule
Each team will be assigned a set training day and time each week. Exact day and time will be determined once coaches are selected.
Optional Support
- Additional specialized technical coaching (sport science, GK, etc)
- Travel tournament planning and application
Cost
The fee breakdown for programs are as follows:
- Recreational (U5-18) = $105
- Development (U8-12) = $230
Players who did not play fall soccer will have and additional fee of $25 added on to the registration fee. This fee goes towards player registration and insurance with BC Soccer.

Additional Spring Opportunities
For teams interested in registering for 11aside soccer we are partnering with other clubs on leagues outside of South Surrey that offer that level of play.
U13 transition (2001 born players)
This is for teams who are graduating from the U12 8v8 environment and are looking for a spring program that will assist in the transition to the full field game in the fall 2013. We are partnering with Langley United FC to support this level of play at the metro and gold levels.
U13 - U16 (11 aside soccer)
Our regional partner, Surrey FC will once again provide and host full field games in the newton area. This is ideally suited for gold and silver teams who are looking for am 11v11 league to play in during spring.
U5 - U12 Player Development Academy
Coastal FC is offering a player academy, similar to the fall program, for 10 weeks during the spring season. More information can be found HERE.
Spring FAQ's
Q. Is there a maximum amount of players per age group and will registration close?
A. Yes. Once field space is known age groups will have caps on registration numbers.
Q. If I played for Semi or Peace Arch last season do I need to register?
A. Yes. This is a new season and requires all players to register
Q. Do I have to tryout to be on a spring team?
A. You do not have to be evaluated for Recreational spring teams. All players are welcome and balanced teams will be created. The Development spring league is for tier 1 and 2 players who will be invited by a coach, through evaluations, to register.
Q. When/who will contact me to tell me which team I am on?
A. The age group coordinator will contact you by the first week of April.
Q. When will schedules be posted?
A. Final games schedules will be posted in mid/late March.
Q. Can I request a specific team?
A. You can request a team on the registration page. Placement on the request team is NOT guaranteed.
Q. How do I make a payment?
A. You can pay by credit card or cheque at the time of registration.
Q. Can I register multiple players at the same time?
A. Yes. This registration system allows you to 'check' the players you want to register and you will pay for them all at once.
